Forced labour in the litigation spotlight

Supply chain litigation is accelerating — and forced labour is firmly in the spotlight. Data from DDD’s RBC Litigation Database, which tracks major human rights and environmental cases across 17 countries, shows a clear trend: 63% of the 111 cases we track relate to supply-chain impacts, with forced labour dominating by a wide margin.

While litigation isn’t always successful, it’s an early signal of the issues regulators, courts, and stakeholders are prioritising.
